Download Tuesday
It's time for another exciting edition of Download Tuesday. It's rapidly becoming a regular feature to this LJ. A lot of you got a heavy dose of Rock Band over the weekend and I enjoyed playing with you. I hope you enjoyed the song list and find my Download Tuesday's to be informative because that's definitely not the last time that we will be playing together.
Some good stuff got released this week. I bought some of today's released and a few older tracks. From this week's new selections, I bought "Renegade", "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)", and "Too Much Time on My Hands", which are all by Styx. I really love Styx. They're a great classic rock band and these are three of my favorite songs by them and I think they fit nicely with the game. Everybody loves "Mr. Roboto" but it would suck as a Rock Band track.
I also added "Times Like These" by Foo Fighters. It's an older track and I don't know when it was released, but it was probably when I wasn't interested in downloading extra tracks for the game. I didn't really start paying attention to what downloads were available until I got RB2. Occasionally, I will browse through the entire list of available downloads and I'll find an older track that I like. Sometimes, I'll buy it. I really love this song so I decided to get it.
Sunday I added "Sweetness" by Jimmy Eat World. At her birthday party, somebody wanted to do the song. I didn't have it so we downloaded it right there. It's a pretty good song. This brings the total number of songs in my library to 238.
