Today I went to the doctor to get the results of my bloodwork. Surprise--I'm completely healthy. Even my plantar fasciitis is almost gone. There were just a few things that the doctor noted. My triglyceride level was high. This contibutes to your overall cholesterol count and my overall count was normal. Since I actually saw some substitute doctor today instead of my real doctor, this doctor didn't actually know me, but since all he had to do was explain the numbers, I didn't mind. He told me to exercise more and watch what I eat. I told him that it wasn't going to happen. I don't think I can physically exercise more than I do right now and I'm pretty strict about what I eat. He said, the high triglyceride count could probably be due to heredity.
In other news, after almost a year of stashing money away, I bought myself a new flatscreen TV today. This weekend is another one of those Best Buy Reward Zone member coupon sales, and with the help of a 12%-off coupon, I got the LG 42LC7D. It's a 42-inch LCD, 720p. It's the one I've had my eye on. After looking at the TVs at Best Buy, I really liked the picture on this one. It has a pretty good contrast ratio (8000:1) and a response time of 5ms. In the same price range, everything else has an 8ms response time. This means it's better for video games and watching sports. It has better specs than most 720p sets including Samsung and Sony. Since I had to lay it flat to get it home, the smokin' hot chick that sold it to me recommended that I keep it upright for a few hours before plugging it in, so I'm just going to let it sit overnight and I'll tackle the project in the morning. I'm basically going from a TV with about 400 sq.-in. of screen to one with about 800 sq.-in. of screen. This is going to be fun. Plus, the value of all of the Reward Zone points that I earn between Thanksgiving and Christmas goes to Toys for Teens. I did it for the children!!!
