Collection Rambles (Be Prepared for a Lot of Ranting!)
So...I've decided I want to do more than sales on here :/ It's sad. I want to make some friends! Haha. And post pictures of all my collections and stuff~ ♥ Not to mention my BJDs! (They just keep comming in! @_@)
So a bit about me;
My name is Alexandra, but please call me Alex. Not AlexandrIa. Alexandra. By God it frustrates me when people miss-read and say it -_-;
I am a collector of various things. I collect (in order of importance to me):
BJDs
Sailor Moon
Magical Girl Toys
Anime figurines
and Vintage toys.
My collections hold dear importance to me. I treasure material possessions a lot, but not to the point where they dominate my actions. (I know some collectors that kind of loose a lot going after certain things). Right now my Sailor Moon collection is dominating in what I want to buy, because I'm quite honestly out of space for BJDs and Figurines ^^;

My camera never does their beauty justice. Ever. I have four BJDs and I must say, I'm pretty content for now. I don't want any more. ^^ I think I'm at my limit for the time being! I love my dolls very much and I treasure them more than anything!

A lot of people may say at this point; Damn. You're one spoiled kid! Those BJDs are EXPENSIVE! Well, that's not true. I mean, I am spoiled, but more in the way that my mother ALLOWS me to be in these hobbies, not that she pays for them.
I don't want my mom to pay for all my hobbies, even though we're well off. I think that earning the money for something yourself is such a rewarding experience! I love working hard for something, because that makes getting it so much sweeter! ♥
Okay, moving on to Sailor Moon...I think that needs a post all in itself! xD I just recently got into Sailor Moon collecting (I think it was in about January or Febraury?). It was after Ohayocon 2010. I don't know why...it just suddenly exploded with me O_o. I all of the sudden had this undeniable URGE to own all the RPG toys and dolls. It really brings out the younger kid in me (because I'm still a kid ;D). I want to run around my house screaming PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACKU! with my Chibiusa wand (I actually usually point it at my dog, Moppers, who proceeds to bark at it).
I have aquired a LOT in the small amount of time I've been collecting. I have actually decided to take it down a notch. Not because I don't like it anymore or anything, but just because I need to enjoy what I have and stop spending every dime that comes into my hand on Sailor Moon stuff. @_@ I should save up for things haha.

The items I treasure most in my collection are my Stallion Reve, my Nakayoshi Chibiusa doll, and anything I own that pertains to Pegasus. I also really like my Star Locket, but I can't take it out so it doesn't hold the same meaning for me quite yet Dx
I think Sailor Moon collecting is possibly one of the most important things in my life. I don't know why exactly, but I really connect with the items as well as the people in the hobby. I love talking to everyone and I get such joy out of the over all experience. ^^
Moving on to my other Magical Girl toy collection (other than Sailor Moon). I love them all; CCS, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Magic Knight Rayearth, Pretty Cure, Futago Hime. Everything. I LOVE RPG toys to death. I would love to play with them all the time if I could! There's something about a Magical Girl too, something special. The fact you can transform into someone new; someone with amazing qualities and a kind heart, with a sense of Justice and a strong will of the power of love...I love it. xD It probably sounds silly or stupid, but I look up to them all in a huge way.
I don't have much other than Sailor Moon stuff at the moment, but you can see the small amount I do have both on my Deviant Art and on my Youtube channel previously linked.
My figurine collection really adds a nice touch to my walls. I love them; there's such an art to the sculpting, painting, and all around representation of the characters. It's just like a drawing that's come to life! I admire all people that are man enough to tackle GKs because I cannot bring myself to try. I'm afraid I'll ruin the pretty resin~ D:

Last but not least, my vintage toys! Deffinitely not the most important thing in my life, but they're amazing. Can't you imagine the life of a toy? You get made in a factory, bought at a store by some frantic parent or caretaker, and then given to the loving arms of a child. This loving owner of the toy likes to throw it into the dirt while playing coybow, or make it take a swim in the toilet. This loving owner likes to put it in the washer machine or give it a bath 10 times a month. This child falls asleep with it by it's side every night. This child cares for it more than anything for years. But suddenly the child grows up and no longer wants said toy D: The toy now gets thrown out or donated or sold at a thrift store.
How sad.
But I think it's totally amazing that the toy SURVIVED all of that. I mean really, just how much can Mr.Fluffykins take before his seems come undone? Apparently, a lot. xD
My favorites to collect are:
Barbies (Vintage only. I mean 1963-1970. That's my limit on "vintage" for them).
Strawberry Shortcake dolls (1980-something. They were brutally played with by my mother. And yet they're still in pretty good condition O_o).
Rainbow Bright (I have a Rainbow Sprite doll and the little fuzzy blue guy xD).
I want to collect My Little Ponies and Kitty/Puppy/Pony Suprises too. As well as Popples, those things are too cute! xD
