My Disney Designer Dolls~ and a Thank You!

Oct 23, 2011 12:33

First off, I want to say thank you to those who commented on my experience yesterday. xD Your support really made a difference and helped me feel less... uncomfortable about the whole thing. (Even though I still had a scary dream last night about him ;_;). I'll take all of your advice into consideration in case it ever happens again (and I sure as hell hope it doesn't!)

On a happier note! I'm going to share pictures of my Disney Designer doll collection with everyone! Remember that post I made asking if I was greedy for wanting more than one or something? Yeah. I have four now and I'm shooting for six. I don't care anymore. They're just too beautiful to resist!! So far I have Cinderella (she's a Christmas present though, so I can't have her yet!), Mulan, Tiana, And Pocahontas. The other two I would like to own are Jasmine and Rapunzel. I have a Jasmine lined up for me (Thank you thank you thank you~! ♥), but I'm still searching for Rapunzel. I absolutely refuse to pay the prices on eBay considering she came out last Tuesday. It's not like she's some old collectible or something, you know? xD I've been fortunate enough so far to get all of these dolls for retail (many thanks to Alissa and Brittianey for that! ♥ You guys rock!), so I feel it would be pretty silly to just pay triple for one doll, you know? But we'll see. xD Apparently my mom and my grandma tired to be sneaky and order me a Rapunzel, but the darned website just didn't work for anyone~. Ah well, its the thought that counts! I'm just glad they support my craziness. x3

Anyways~ on to the pictures of the dolls I am allowed to have! Unfortunately I have my tumblr watermark on some them, so I hope it's not too distracting. I'm just really sick of people stealing my pictures on tumblr so I had to do it xD

Mulan!

Mulan is one of my favorite princesses because she is strong and independant. She would do anything for her family and for their love and acceptance, even though all she needs to do is be alive. I kind of relate to Mulan and I think she is just so amazing~ xD She was also my childhood favorite, along with Jasmine.

(Areal shot of Mulan's hair and face~!)

Tiana~

Tiana is one of my favorites because she knows what it takes to work for something you want. I like her because unlike a lot of the princesses, she has to go through a lot of adversity to get where she wants to be. She also is susceptible to getting absorbed or obsessed with her dream, which is a lot like myself. She's also kind of...sassy, too, which I think is cute xD.
I don't think the Princess and the Frog is racist in any way, shape, or form. A lot of people think that because they eat gumbo on the porch, that makes it racist. But actually, that was just the culture of New Orleans at the time. And she works because she wants to, not because she's a slave. I don't know. I just think that by calling something racist, you're the one who's actually placing the race barrier up, you know? If no one thought it was racist, no one would think there was a line between black and white. I guess it's hard to explain what I mean. xD I was always raised that everyone is equal, and I have never thought any different. Okay. End rant. Pictures! xD

Naveen~

Her hair and flower!

Pocahontas~!

Pocahontas was another childhood favorite of mine (I really liked Indians). A lot of people HATE her doll, and they think she is very ugly. They say she looks like a man. xD; Well, I think they made her look like that on purpose, you know? She looks proud to me. Pocahontas is a very proud and strong woman, so her doll reflects that. And her dress is brown and made of the material it is made of to reflect her being in tune with nature, I believe. x3

Sooo yeah. xD Those are my dollies, thus far. I want them all. ;_; They're just too beautiful!!
