Kurogane hardly blended in with the white hallways, but if nothing else he was still very much aware of his surroundings -- and even if he weren't, Mokona made his presence more than known when he suddenly leaped for Kurogane and let out his excited, warbled greeting.

"Gah!" Kurogane took a startled step backward, but didn't let his reflexes fail him. Instead he reached out and neatly caught Mokona between his hands, holding the little creature gently at first and then suddenly squeezing him tighter when he realized who (what) it was.

"Meatroll!" Kurogane sounded baffled, annoyed, and even vaguely pleased. "When the hell did you get here?"

He'd been in his room, then had remembered Kurogane, then had been in the corridor, and now he was here! "Mokona arrived just now!" he chirped, his words not giving across all the meaning he'd given them. He smiled happily at Kurogane, not minding a bit as he was squished.

"Mokona has missed Kuro-pon!"

Mokona got himself a look for his comment, and Kurogane was completely (in perhaps a paranoid manner) certain that Mokona had missed the point, probably intentionally. He didn't point this out, instead unsquishing Mokona a bit so that the little rabbitthing could scramble up to sit on his hand.

"The mage is here, too," Kurogane noted offhandedly. "You here as a student?"

Mokona scrambled up to sit on Kurogane head, burrowing down in the black strands and making a quiet little 'eee' as she started ruffling her hands through it, making it even spikier.

"Fai is here?" Mokona's attention perked and she leant forwards to look Kurogane in the eye, upside down and using the ninja's hair as a handhold to stop herself from falling. She gave Kurogane a mock-serious look, then smiled brightly, swinging from a lock of Kurogane's hair happily.

"Fai is here!"
