He winced and rubbed at his ear when Roxas set off the owl thing, watching it fly off overhead. Looking out the corner of his eye, he saw Terriermon with an ear perked, as though listening for something.
"Terriermon?"
"We've got company, Jen!"
[ooc: bring it! :D]

When he looked up, his line of sight was filled with the open jaws of a dragon, red-scaled, leathery purple wings beating furiously. Its claws gripped Roxas' weapon threateningly, and in one quick motion, it pushed the teen to his knees, pressing relentlessly on Oathkeeper.
"Get out!!" demanded a shrill voice in Roxas' head, just as the creature reeled back, and knocked Roxas aside with a swoop of its claw. The boy tumbled across the ground, finally falling onto his back. He choked, stunned, and, unable to maintain Oathkeeper's form, the weapon disappeared from his hand.
"Ignorance!! Vile ignorance!!" shrieked the voice again, and Roxas ( ... )

"You have no right to be here!" the voice began again, echoing in Roxas' head. "Those who break rules must be destroyed. Before Roxas could make any objections, the dragon darted to one side, surprisingly quick and agile for its size, and began a wide circle around Roxas, preparing to strike from behind ( ... )

Jen all but skidded to a halt when he heard the growling in his head, nearly sending Terriermon flying off his shoulders as he did so. Raising a hand to the side of his head, his eyes widened. Of course...of course, it made sense now...
"Roxas! Make your weapons disappear! Do it now!"
"Jen!" Terriermon shot a startled look at his owner. "What, you want him to get killed?! Have you lost your freakin' mind??"
"Of course I don't," he snapped, taking a few more steps forward before kneeling down. "But we're in its territory. What do you do when you're in something's territory?"
"..."
"You play by its rules. It's protecting its territory, perhaps young."
"And if you're wrong, the two of you..."
"I know."

They can speak via magic that this dragon's tribe stole from some society of... nymphs or some other mythological crud. So yeah. The way they speak seems and acts like telepathy, but it spans over the minds of those within range, as if it were speaking regularly. If that makes any sense at all. xDDD]
Roxas whirled to his companion at the demand to disarm himself. But he blinked, slowly calming himself. He knew that Jen was right; they really shouldn't be here, invading the creature's home.
Fire burned from the dragon's jaws, but it halted its attack as Roxas desummoned his weapons, each disappearing in brief bursts of white light. The fire sizzled to a harmless state, and the dragon's mouth curled up into some sort of grin that showed off its fangs in a crescent-shaped row. Roxas gave the dragon a hard stare, though slightly nervous at the thought of being unarmed.
"Oh?Or so our code goes, but does anyone follow it anymore? NO!! We're supposed to live in harmony with you disgustingly ( ... )

.... And for reasons Roxas/Jen related... >_>]
Praelium halted his attack, temporarily blinded by the glowing light. With an angered shriek, he landed on his feet on the ground, shaking his head as he tried to rid his eyes of the light.
Having light as his element, Roxas stood essentially unaffected by the burst of light, and took the chance to run to Jen's side. After giving Jen a quick look-over, checking for any urgent injuries, he turned toward the light, squinting as he tried to see what was happening.
"You fools!!" Praelium shouted in their heads, his eyes growing accustomed to the light. "You dare defy me?!"

"Yeah, we are. You gotta problem with that?"
Jen lowered his arm from his face. That...sounded like Terriermon (definitely had his snark), but the voice was slightly deeper, and there was a distinct ka-click that sounded twice.
The light faded, and as it did, Jen could see a series of coding mixed in with its matrix. The coding was Terriermon's but...something was different.
"Terriermon...?"
What emerged from the light wasn't Terriermon...well, it looked like the digital monster but it was...bigger. Larger. The ka-click sound that Jen had heard must have come from the gun-arms it wielded.
It turned its eyes in Praelium's direction, pointing its right gun arm at the dragon. "Come get some."

"An animal wielding human weapons...?!" his voice echoed as he gave a dragon sort of sneer. "Despicable!! You lot get more and more ridiculous as you go!"
The dragon lept forth, closing the distance between the two, and soared into the air on his wings, beating furiously. With all of its strength, Praelium hurled himself into the newly evolved Terriermon, attempting to push it to the ground.
The struggle sent a cloud of dust into the air, and Roxas was quick to cover his eyes, groping blindly in the cloud. Finding a nearby tree, he put his hand to its trunk, leaning against it for stabilization.
