The Valentines Day that (practically) never was
I've got to say that for once I barely noticed Valentines Day. Usually if I'm not dating anyone- and there have only been two years when I was- I'm all like, "Oh, poor me, I am all alone!" But this year it was like, "Oh yeah, it's Valentines Day, that's funny, I totally forgot."
There were only two reminders, really. One was when a pile of Hershey's kisses landed on my desk, courtesy of my co-worker Amber. The other was when I drove to my mom's house after work to pick up my birth certificate and my mom treated me to some fabulous "Valentines Day" Chinese food. But it was great because I wasn't sad, there was no self-pity and not even a glass of wine was required.
So take that, Hallmark! You have no control over me, hahaha!
