I just have a very sensitive issue up for debate. I do not intend any sort of discrimination whatsoever.

As a non-asian here - white girl here -, I accept that I'm out of the ordinary in Super Junior or even DBSK's group of fans. I never really thought about it how odd it is. However I met this girl today (she had just come from Korea a few years ( Read more... )

I completely understand where you're coming from. I'm not asian and when random people I meet ask me the type of music I listen to, I appropriately say,"Everything." But their minds tend not to expand to other countries. It's not that I'm embarassed but that I don't know how they are to react ( ... )

Sssh, I made a point not to reply induvidually - see edited note- but I loved your mini-essay. The girl I talked to was at my college orientation/first few days of class, small world xD. She seemed interested that I knew of them but we didn't discuss it further- I didn't want to embarass myself further by trying to pronounce the names! (I've never had the opportunity to talk about it public, it's a shock for me). My best friend, does not know Suju is my favourite band.

Alot of people make the comparison of boA to Britney and while it is an unfair comparison regarding talent, they represent the same pop genre on a whole. But in Asia, some of Spears so it's virtually the same thing! Music floats back and forth between continents and is regurgitated through this universal industry, it's just the people who are open-minded see through it all.

Ah, Hollywood Bowl. How I would love to go. Was it fun? xD
Thanks again!

It's really funny, the most accepting people are the ones that are college. Seriously, no one else cared at my school. (IT'S INCREDIBLE WHEN YOU SEE THEIR PRODUCTS IN REAL LIFE FOR THE FIRST TIME...)

It's hard to try to hide something like that from your bf. They, luckily, converted me first. xD

At least BS did before she went all psycho!ass on everyone. But I guess thats what stardom does to you.

it's just the people who are open-minded see through it all. Exactly.

HB? Was pretty amazing. Sucked only a bit because it was almost 2 weeks after their accident. Kyuhyun wasn't there and Heechul wasn't there nor was Eeteuk for that matter (I think.). They were super depressed and I knew they didn't want to be there. But it was fun!!!

No problem! ♥ I hope everything works out well.

Thank god for college, I just started and haven't met many people yet. My asian friends from high school always teased me about it, how I squealed over asian men even though they claimed 'I was the whitest girl ever'.

(I REMEMBER ORDERING MY FIRST SUJU PRODUCT.. A CD.. AND WHEN IT CAME IN THE MAIL, IT WAS SHINING WITH GODLY LIGHT-)

Aah, Britney, what happened? xD She's a trainwreck. BoA however has not gone down the same path.

AWWW, poor Kyuhyun =( I can't imagine how hard it must have been, or at other times, to perform during times like those, to make the effort for the fans but if you enjoyed it, they must have had some pleasure in it too that day!

-pokepoke- Mind if I friend you? You're cool 8D

I KNOW! EXACTLY! It gets easier. I sware "Xiah" was the hardest name for me to pronounce when I first started. But now I'm like eff it it's Junsu. :DD

(I SWARE! I KNOW! I OPENED THE CD AND KANGIN WAS STARING AT ME!) and one of my guy friend didn't have a gift for me when it was my birthday and felt bad for not coming to my birthday party, so he bought me OJBH. I sware I was nearly in tears when he gave it to me. I held it so delicately. Everyone was all O.o? over the random asian boys. but I was in lala land...xDDD

I hope not. BoA (as much as I don't like her) is much better then BS. Hopefully when she debuts in America (I seriously hope not, that would kill her) she avoids crowds like that.

They were laughing towards the end. But when they came out on stage, either they were super nervous and super scared (15 hours, for serious!) or super nervous, super scared, and totally not suspected so many people were their to support them. We were next to a group of people, and the main guy was gay. I LOVED IT!

*laughs* SURE! :D
