TOOTHACHES - Ridonkulous!

So the left side of my mouth, I have been experiencing sensitivity and toothaches for several years now. I stopped using that side to chew, since I didn't want to irritate it more. I finally got them checked out last year, got fillings, you know the drill. I thought, oh the aches were probably due the the cavities, so after my fillings began to use my left side to chew again--thinking it should be okay now... NOPE! It was more sensitive than ever, so I left it, and slowly tried to ease into using that side of my mouth. I went back to my dentist every month or so because the sensitivity and aches would not go away, and my dentist also wanted to keep close watch of the fillings, especially the really deep ones. Long story short, nothing was resolved at that point.

So the last 2-3 weeks, my teeth started hurting.. Badly.. I was, and still am in so much pain that I wasn't able to sleep or eat. Sometimes it was so bad I would start shaking from the pain, which lead to me bawling like a big baby. I went to the dentist on Friday, and she told me I need to get a root canal. Fuck, I know they're very common and average person gets at least one in their lifetime, but I really don't want anymore work done on my teeth! I forgot to mention I got like 8-10 fillings in the past year! Talk about weak, sensitive teeth huh?

Anyways, so my appointment for the root canal was set for the next Friday. She prescribed me antibiotics for the week, and told me to take Advil to ease the pain. So Friday night, when I was trying to sleep, the pain suddenly hit me, and hard--I was crying, sweating and shaking from the pain. I think eventually my body was too tired, and I luckily I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was feeling okay-ish. So I met up with a friend to study, but 2 hours into it, I couldn't take the pain and I had to go home.

The pain did not go away for at least 4 whole hours. Until finally I just sat there, stared at the wall and just take the pain. After 15 minutes or so, it died down, I took another Advil and it was gone. Finally, it was manageable... Or at least at the level I can handle and still be able to study/do stuff without being too distracted by the pain.

I'm going into the dentist tomorrow to get my root canal. I don't know what time the appointment is, because they're gonna try to squeeze me in. Just as long as I can get this done ASAP, and not feel pain, I'm happy.

Wish me luck.
