Music is my boyfriend

I don't even know where to begin because tonight was awesome. Went to San Francisco to see the Sounds play. I'm not even psyched on that band, but it sounded fun. Wait, let's try this in list form, it might be easier:

1. First thing we see in the city: The (motherfucking) Sounds eating lunch and looking hot outside some Euro cafe.
2. Second thing we see: huge huge Christmas trees in Union Square and Neiman Marcus. $2000 dresses that blew my senses.
3. The opening band remained unknown until arrival. It ended up being Ima Robot. They ended up being amazing. The lead singer even wore MC Hammer pants!
4. The Sounds' lead singer brought the sex, seriously. I've never seen someone music fuck someone the way she did the guitarist. It was the band's last show of the tour, so they pulled all the stops (whatever that means). And when they weren't onstage due to instrument-moving-around-time, they played epic space music and had green lights flashing to and fro. It was a little surreal.
5. Danced like a maniac. Very sweaty but unable to stop. Oh, and everyone was really short so I could see over them UNTIL the 2 tallest and drunkest girls at the show decided to knock everyone over and stand right in front of us and continue to elbow and push us. To be honest, I missed them when they left because I got to really enjoying the wreckless dancing. I kind of took their place of pushing into people and dancing heavilly when they left. But don't get me wrong, I wasn't that annoying. A lot of people were into it until they got tired. I, on the otherhand, was having way too much fun to get tired.
6. One of the hotties from Ima Robot launched a paper airplane into the audience from the balcony once they'd finished playing. Of course it landed at my feet. I tried to throw it back but it landed quick. We exchanged "no such luck"s and shrugged. Interaction with bandmembers is still really really exciting.

Oh, and the realizations! I've decided to become a theatre production major so I can do sound and lighting for venues and so I can travel a lot and see lots of bands play. And after the show things became really clear. I don't know what exactly became clear, but it did in general. There's nothing like getting really really sweaty and dancing to clear the mind and solve all your problems. Continuing...

7. The Fillmore is an awesome venue. Every cool band ever has played there, the staff is really nice, and they give away free posters to everyone at the end of the show. And free water.
8. Tommie Sunshine DJ'd the pre-show and in-between show. It's awesome to get to dance even when a band's not playing. It's also awesome to look up and see DJ Jesus spinning tunes. Really, he looked like Jesus with sunglasses and headphones on. It would have been so fitting for that DJ to save my life.

PS: I'd have pics if it weren't for me being really awesome and forgetting my camera battery. That's right, I remembered the camera, forgot the battery. If you can hold onto your panties for long enough (because I know you're just dying to see!) I might be able to steal some from the other girlyques.
