I've been out for the last couple days... hanging out, staying over at my sister's house, and just generally being free from both school and work~!! It's lovely! I feel so relaxed lately, and I've started drawing more... I guess because it's stuff that I'm more interested in. I've reopened my doodle shop on Gaia, taking up a commission on Gaia, and also working on a Yotsuba animation. Now, I'm just trying to stay home a bit more, because I always spend money when I go out, and I really need to save up for the trip... Anyways, we went to Sushi Hiro Monday night, and had some delicious Shabu Shabu!
Very beautiful... and delicious~ That crab meat is mine!
This is what our table looked like. We were separated from other tables by the screens, and you had to take your shoes off and step up. There was even a buzzer, when you needed something from the waitresses... ^__^ I actually really like it at this place, since all the employees are Japanese, and the waitresses are so cute~~ ^__^ I like it when they keep alternating from Japanese and English when speaking...
Dig in~! (censored at their requests!)
My sister... it's hard to get her into a group shot when she sits on the end beside me...
Everyone, except my sister~! Why are the guys making weird faces? (censored at their requests!)
After Shabu Shabu, I stayed over at my sister's house... On Tuesday, we went out to T&T to grab some groceries, and since it was so close to where we used to live, we decided to go walk through the neighborhood...
This is the cake I bought at T&T! The cakes at T&T loooook so cute and delicious, that I can't resist! This one was labeled as White Chocolate, but seems like only the top part is white chocolate, with strawberries inside... there is also something crunchy in the middle, and then some kind of sponge cake at the bottom... mmm...
My sister enjoying her specialty bun! I think it was pineapple...
This was at a park that is super close to the place we used to live next to... My sister climbed onto the metal plane looking thing, and I got a cute shot of her! She mentioned that "Last time we were here, I couldn't look over this bar!" She's pretty short...
I feel kind of bad about posting this picture up... haha! This is the place we used to live before we moved 6 years ago... It's very nostalgic to walk through this place again - we lived there for a long time! I hope no one thought we were creepers taking pictures of the houses...
Me in front of our old Junior High School... This school was SUPER close to our old place! I kind of miss that...
So after taking a trip down memory lane, we went to Eau Claire, bought a loaf of bread, and went down to Prince Island Park to feed the geese and ducks. We always like to do this, because it is EXTREMELY entertaining feeding them - even though, technically, we're not allowed to. Some tourists walked by while we were feeding them, and asked us what bird they were... we responded "Geese!" and the guy said "Canadian Geese?" ....... ahahaha....
The geese are pretty brave, and will slowly stalk you as soon as they see your loaf of bread. A couple of them will snatch the bread out of your hands... I was able to pet one of them this way! And they will hiss at you if you don't give them a piece immediately... tsk. I hiss back at them.
"Give me back my bread!!" I chased after the goose, and he just kept running around, not flying away... I don't think he was too concerned.
It was pretty fun~! Afterwards, it was kind of late, so I slept over at my sister's place again. Since then, I've been at home, just hanging around. I wanted to do some extra cleaning for my parents, but they still haven't provided me a list of things to do... get to work! Haha.... Today, I tried to make Chicken Donburi again (first try
here), and it turned out a lot better this time! I used a lot less marinate, so the flavor wasn't too strong...
So bright~! Lightly sauted cabbage, green onion, chicken, mayo, nori seasoning all on top of rice~ It was very very tasty~!
Gonna start working on a new picture for my avatar on Gaia... I want to update my shop a bit, since the current image is probably nearly 2 years old... ^^ I was thinking of bringing my PS2 to the basement, and pick up playing DDR again.... I need to get more active...
