at last I am done!!!
I can't say I'm too happy with this, but what the heck I gave it a good whack and decided this is probably the most dramatic I'll be in some time :D
“Shige! Shige! Where are you,” Ryo called out to empty streets. He had been looking everywhere for Shige: in the restaurant, both of their apartments, places that held meaning to both of them, and eventually the entire area surrounding the restaurant and the places he had visited earlier. It was approximately three hours forty one minutes and twenty five seconds since he lost Shige. Ryo tried calling Shige’s phone a countless amount of times, but everything he did proved useless.
Ryo’s phone vibrated in his pocket.
*Shige!*
Nope. Not at all. This call was from his boss. This call could determine the outcome of this incident.
Ryo stared blankly at the name on his phone.

Shige shivered. The night was cold and he really wasn’t ready for this type of situation.
*Koyama dropped the plates. He was so surprised. It’s all my fault. Ryo probably knows what’s going on… I hope he forgives me…* Shige looked up at the sky. The stars were shining brightly. *It’s better if I leave both of them alone, isn’t it? I don’t think they’d like to see me anyway…It’s better this way…* He smiled up to the sky.
He was sitting on a swing in a park in the middle of the night. Shige didn’t even know how he ended up there; all he knew was that it was probably for the better that he left that room.
Shige had thought very deeply about it. He cheated on Ryo and got Koyama’s hopes up only to crush them in the worst way possible. *I kissed Ryo right in front of him.* He thought about things that he could’ve done differently to prevent the situation, but the past was the past and there was nothing Shige could do to change it.

“Shige!” he heard the familiar voice come closer to him.
He looked up. It was Koyama. “Why’d you run off?” Koyama asked out of breath.
Shige stayed silent. *Because you saw us…*was what he wanted to say, but he couldn’t. The fact that Koyama was looking for him and that he was out of breath broke Shige’s heart. He looked down at his feet; he couldn’t face Koyama not after what he had done. *He really is in love with me, but I did that…* Koyama looked expectantly at Shige waiting for his reply. Shige just kept on staring at his feet. *What does he want me to say?*
Koyama whacked Shige’s head lightly. Shige looked up at Koyama.
“I was worried you know. I really was.” Shige could hear the hurt in Koyama’s voice. Koyama was trying very hard to hold back his tears. Shige stayed silent. This was all his fault. He could’ve prevented this. “Shige say something.” Koyama was on the brink of crying.
Shige stayed silent. He was trying his best not to move. In fact he couldn’t. It hurt too much to do anything. Even being silent was hurtful. Koyama finally gave up. He cried. He wrapped his arms around Shige. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Please talk to me Shige. I only want what’s best for you.” Koyama sobbed on Shige’s shoulder. *I’m the one who’s sorry. I broke your heart. I’m still breaking it even now. Please stop crying.*
Shige began to cry too.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry… What I’ve done…I can’t forgive myself…”Shige said between tears and cried on with Koyama.

“There you are Ryo-chan♥! I was afraid you weren’t going to show up.”
Ryo looked up at his boss. “I was wondering why you didn’t show up last night. You always do, but I guess that there are days when one has other things to do… What were you doing Ryo- chan?”
He looked up at her and said, “I broke up with the person I loved…”
“Really?” she looked surprised at him. That meant he was free now. She left off excitedly and suddenly said “I’m sure it was the other person’s fault. A person like you is too perfect ♥”
Ryo looked blankly at the computer screen in front of him.
Last night was something he wanted to forget.
He had been searching for Shige all that time. When he finally found him, he wished he hadn’t. Maybe he should’ve suspected it from the start. It had never occurred to Ryo that another man was in Shige’s life so when he found both of them embracing and crying in an abandoned park he was surprised.
He never really broke up with Shige. As far as he knew he had just caught Shige cheating on him. Either way whatever he had with Shige was over now; Ryo would be sure to tell Shige tonight.

“Ryo?”
“I bet you can’t believe I was actually here before you.” Ryo smiled up to Shige.
“I have to tell you something,” Shige said quickly.
“I don’t need to hear it. We’re over.” Ryo got up from their table.
“Wait! Ryo,” Shige reached for Ryo’s shoulder, “I can explain.”
“No!” Ryo said angrily throwing a glass that was on the table to the floor. “I trusted you Shige!”
Shige shrunk back. He had never seen Ryo this angry before.
“I trusted you and you did…you did that! You know, I really thought we might’ve had something real, but I guess I was wrong.” Ryo walked towards the door.
“Ryo…I’m sorry” Shige said. Ryo slammed the door behind him.

“You know the boss just wanted to break your relationship so that she could keep you to herself right?”
Ryo looked over at his friend. “She really did call you all those times to come to work in order to make your ‘significant other’ jealous. Besides it really wasn’t his fault that he got attached to some other guy while you were away. The boss really is smart isn’t she?”
“Why am I even friends with you?” Ryo asked the person sitting next to him.
“I’m not too sure myself, but hey what are friends for? I’m here to show you the truth on the subject. Besides what did Kato do? He just hugged the waiter! Plus he was crying wasn’t he?”
Ryo got off the bar’s stool. He’d had enough of his ‘friend’s advice’ for the day. “Later, I’m leaving,” Ryo told his friend.
“So soon! You really are stubborn. This isn’t Kato’s fault. He’s probably crying alone in his apartment regretting not being able to explain why he was hugging the waiter. You know he was probably crying for you while hugging the waiter. It’s like in the dramas. One character is suspected of cheating when it was all just a misunderstanding, and you, sir, Mr. Nishikido, are the one who probably misunderstood.”
Ryo walked off. It was true his boss hadn’t called him all that day. He was actually released at the normal time that everyone gets off at.
*Maybe I am misunderstanding.*

It had been three days since Ryo had broken up with Shige. Ryo felt guilty now.
His friend’s words kept on repeating in his head. Finally Ryo had decided to hear Shige’s side of the story. He was standing outside of Shige’s apartment, carefully thinking of what he would say before he rang the doorbell.

“So how’d it go with Kato?” Ryo’s friend asked.
“You were right. He was crying for me.”
“I knew it. That’s what friends are for right? Did you guys hook up again?”
“Yes”
“I knew it. It was all your misunderstanding. I’m glad though. Now you won’t look so miserable at work.”

“Shige!” Koyama ran out of the private room along with Ryo.
“Where do you think you’re going?” a woman stopped Koyama before he was able to leave the restaurant.
“I need to follow-“
“If you walk out that door, don’t bother showing up tomorrow,” the woman said.
Koyama threw his waist apron on the floor. Shige is way more important than this job.

Ryo’s jaw dropped. “What?” he was in disbelief.
Ryo’s phone rang. He reluctantly got it out of his pocket. They both looked at the phone.
“… Why?... With who?” Ryo asked holding back tears. The phone kept on ringing on the table.
“I think you know why.” Shige answered.
Ryo laughed a little. “You’re kidding me right?”
Shige shook his head. “…when I left yesterday I secretly hoped you’d follow me, but …”
“When?!” Ryo got up from the table angrily, “Tell me! Wasn’t I good enough for you?”
A tear streamed down Ryo’s face. “I loved you! I know that going to work instead of being with you might seem a bit mean, but why? It’s not like I was leaving you all these times to be with someone else… I didn’t think you minded all those times! You could’ve said something!”
Shige shrunk back. Ryo had never screamed at him.
Shige had managed to gather the courage to stand up to Ryo.“You… I loved you too…but all those times you were with someone else! I needed you!”
“Then why did you cheat on me?”
“I didn’t mean to, but I-“
“You know what, I need to hear this. We’re through.” Ryo left the private room.

Shige kicked the dirt up. He was on the same swings, in the same park that he was the night before. Koyama had been fired and now Shige didn’t know how to come in contact with him. The only time he was ever with Koyama was in that restaurant. Now he had no idea how to find the person he was in love with.
*He knows how to get to where I live, but I have no idea where he lives. I actually don’t know that much about him. Maybe we were never meant to be.*

It had been five days since that night at the park, and four days since his break-up with Ryo.
Defeated, Shige decided that he needed to begin anew. He stopped by a restaurant that he had never been into before with the hope that there would be nothing to remind him of the drama he had in his life.
“May I take your order?” He was wrong.
There before his own eyes stood Koyama. Shige was amazed. “Koyama?”
“Wow, correct me if I’m wrong but this is the first time you didn’t call me ‘waiter- san’” Koyama smiled at Shige. Shige smiled back.
“When do you get off? O-of work I mean,” Shige found himself asking.
“In about an hour”
“That’s great, when you get out would you like to maybe go to the park with me?” Shige blushed. He couldn’t believe he was being so bold.
“I would like that very much”
Both of them smiled brightly at each other.
