now I get to think about things like birthday cards and special days and how to be the best aunt in the whole world. when I'm thirty, he's going to be twelve. when I'm thirty-five, he'll be seventeen - nearly ready to graduate. is thirty-five too old to be a super aunt? I hope not. I hope we hang.
this is the start of something big... Bemily has reproduced, and the Guthries have a whole new generation. my parents are grandparents! all my brothers are uncles!
my homework for English this weekend is to make a family-line poem, and I'm determined to work this little boy into it. now he just needs a name.
