Back at home...

It was a good vaca. In my mind, it wasn't long enough. But my body couldn't have taken too much more walking. Saturday, I spent the day with my parents, going to Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's, Harrod's, and then my traditional jaunt to Primrose Hill. I couldn't make it all the way without a rest or two, but I made it to the top! It's lovely there and the view's so nice. :) Very tired after that day! Had fish and chips at the Rock and Sole Plaice and had a few breakfasts at Patisserie Valerie, both introduced to me by the lovely Carolyne. In fact, I took my parents there to eat on Saturday... and we ended up eating there again Sunday morning, because we knew it would be good rather than risk brekkie on a shite place.

Spent time on the Strand, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, and High Holborn where most of my hotel stay was. When we first got into London, it was HOT! And my Vandon House Hotel on the first night did not have a/c! Ugh! It was tolerable, but we were very happy that we were going to the Chancery Court for the rest of the stay. I told my parents to steer clear of Sir John Soane's museum. I wasn't that impressed with it... and considering my mom's aversion to cluttered places, I couldn't see her being impressed with it either.

I also went to Hyde Park and did quite a bit of hanging out, of course! During my time there, my parents went to the National Gallery, the Tower of London, saw Buckingham Palace, and did a bus tour.

Speaking of the Hyde Park and the Blur gigs, here is a bit of video of "Coffee and TV". Whoever shot it didn't get the very beginning of the dedication, but the rest of it is there. I have no idea what Graham says after "America" besides, "Cheers!" so if you can figure it out, let me know! :)

Dedication!

Also, my appointment went well today. My right lung sounds a little clearer, according to my doc, and she says I look good. I think my holiday helped. :)
