Had a lovely lie-in before going out to see my best friend Ria and her boyf Josh to the Thames Festival. Which was alright - the highlights were definitely the Polish polka band and going into this fantastic New York stylee building (think uneven stair, exposed and peeling brick work with a warehouse feel) with this very cool exhibition of this circus group called Anarcho.
Anyhow, on my way back (a good day for walking as well, walked down from Waterloo to Blackfriars bridge, before crossing over to see Ria off at Embankment, and then walking from there to Tottenham Court Road). Along the way, I came across THIS:
I couldn't resist! It's gorgeous retroness and beautiful bold colour, inspired font and it wasn't friggin' orange (I seem to be particularly offended by the orange Dalek for some reason!). It's now on my wall, making my room just a little more awesome.
Also, wanted to say happy Eid to everyone *thumbs up*. This morning there was this fantastic procession of Sikhs in orange turbans dancin, and a brass band, and a child and a man in costume and flowers on a horse, with some red hotrod car with the doors open, looking like a two legged crab on wheels taking up the rear. I do love civilisation sometimes.
Hope you're all well :)
