Zac Efron & HSM
Up until the most recent school holidays I had never watched any of the High School Musical movies. I borrowed the first movie from our local video store and loved it. The songs, the dancing, the story. It was all great. By the end of the week I had bought all 3 movies in a collectors edition box set & watched No. 2 and No. 3. For sequels I thought they were just as good as the original, which you can't say about all sequels. Somewhere along the way I developed a crush on Zac Efron. This is no easy thing to admit, since I am a 37 year old woman & he is all of 21. It still feels strange to me. But he can sing, he can dance and he can act, not to mention he is extraordinarily good looking. Or perhaps "cute" is a better descriptor for someone his age. I don't think he is sexy, that just seems very inappropriate to me, though I know there are people out there who do.
I have since gone and seen 17 Again twice & thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought Zac did an amazing job of playing someone who was 37 in a 17 year olds body. I am looking forward to his next projects. This crush is not the same as other crushes I have developed over the years. With other crushes I have gone out and got my hands on every role they have ever played. But I am really not interested in Zac's earlier roles, where he plays a young teen. However I have seen Hairspray, in which I thought he looked very cute with his hair all gelled back, but I have to say I hated the movie itself. Must be the most boring musical I have ever seen.
I am also enjoying the fact that there is always some news or new photos out there of him. With my other crushes, on lesser known British actors, it can be weeks or even longer between each new piece of news or new photo.
