Finally got off the flight with a bit of apprehension and disbelief. I'm finally disembarking on nippon soil after much excitement and dreaming. It really felt quite surreal to be standing in the Narita Airport, buying our N'EX + Suica tickets to take a train into the city.
So so so so surreal.
A part of me feels happy to be finally here..
Another part of me feels sad because that'd mean an end to my trip soon.
And i don't want it to end ever.. -wax lyrical again-
N'EX ride was damn smooth and punctual. Tickets says that we'll arrive in Ikebukuro at 6:48pm, and we really did stop at the station on the dot, on the spot. Amazing. Something i really love bout the public transport in Japan -- its efficiency. Haha.
We lugged our heavy ass-ed luggages to the accomodation thats actually located pretty damn near the train station. The heavy luggages really made it an exhausting walk. Despite all of that, everything's really worthwhile. Although the size of the room is not exactly hotel-room size. It's so clean and cozy and new. Can't help but feel inviting and homely in this little room of ours. The only thing is that we each have too many luggages for our own good. Haha.
First dinner was supposed to be the famous ramen place near our house. But it was so crowded we decided to return another day during the off-peak period so we don't hafta wait and squeeze. Trooped down to kon-mee (guang mian), another renowned chain ramen shop. Had damnnnnn sumptuous dinner. The best ramen i ever had, with the best bone stock soup evahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Feels damn shiok to be sipping hot ramen soup in the cold wintery weather. The winds were blowing and it was cold cold cold outside! As cold as oklahoman weather even. I do hope we all manage to hold up towards the cold ;)
After dinner, we had our first experience of shopping in the conbini (convenience stores). The large array of drinks and food blew us away :D We bought onigiris, milktea, magazines.. pudding.. Hahaha. I forsee a daily trip to the conbini for as long as we'll be here.
Okay, that short report turned out to be a long long report.
Sorry no pictures :x too lazy and the wireless connection sucks.
Did i mention that we each have a desktop in the room with super excellent internet connection? Haha. AWesomeness.
Okkkk, My love for Tokyo shows <3
Asakusa tmrw morning and Odaiba after!
I hope everything goes well. I Really do.
I'm still feeling bummed that everything is coming to an end, or has ended. Like my roadtrip with the classmates. Feels like it was a whirlwind romance that started in a jiffy and ended in a jiffy :/ sigh.
