see-rai-ous-lee?!

In the midst of preparing myself for the muchly dreaded research exams, and rushing my ass off to complete the dwindling research assignment, i have bits and pieces of my mundane life to share. Haha. I hope to make this a snappy one so that i can hurry to devote some attention to the assignment :(

PS: I don't even know if my assignment is headed in the right direction. This feeling of uncertainty is definitely killing me softly. And it doesn't help that i've been maranthoning project runway season 1 (the only one i haven't been watching). I loveeee Austin Scarlett and his sense of old fashion and grandeur. But i think the best group of designers were still the season 4's batch. Current season 5 designers are more lacklustrous, none of them really stand out as strong and none of their personal styles are _that_ very evident yet. Not as much as rami's drapery, christian's haute couture, jillian's fashionable detailed wear, sweet pea's mass market appeal, or chris march's flamboyance!

Oops, i ended up raving on project runway :s i really shudder to think when this season ends, they'll be moving to a different tv network, and the entire show will start to take place in CALIFORNIA. OMG -_- WHY?! Why heidi, why?! New York's the epitome of fashion central! No more olympus fashion week for the designers?! It's blasphemous for PR to be relocated to California.. As much as i do love the place, i think new york tops is all still. Blahhhh.

Apart from working for my friend, i've also been working in this roadshow that has this fantabulous car to boot, on display :D My workmates are pretty fun, interesting people. 3 totally different personalities. I think work exposes you to the chance of meeting new people yes? Like a fresh breath of life in my mundane environment although not in a life-changing manner. Though i wonder, how long we'll even bother to keep up with one another when we've all moved on and this roadshow comes to a close.

Having VERY sociable colleagues to work with helps i guess. We enjoyed complimentary macha ice cream from the Japanese eatery located just 10m away from us. And we became acquaintances with another manager of this super yummy Japanese restaurant located above the riff-raff Japanese eatery :D All the little perks of work rolling in slowly. Hahaha. My tastebuds benefited the most from all these. We had really good dinner after work last night at MOF. It was really a delight, their desserts were awesome too. Very tantalizing and satisfying. Although it didn't come cheap, i still think it's so much more worthwhile than the likes of sakae etc etc etc. I even gotten myself a member card, har har, i forsee myself returning to the place on a more regular basis. Heehee.

I even picked up a new lingo from our interactions with the manager. Seriously becomes SEE-RAI-OUS-LEE?!  Yeah man, hilariously distorted version of seriously that tickled us to the max. Can you imagine the joker going "Why so see-rai-ous?!" WTF moment no.1 Haha.

Oh yah, forgot to mention that i brought the younger sister to dine at wasabi tei on friday night. Made her chiong her ass down to town after school, and she was really fast! -claps hand- She made it in time for us to join in the first round of diners, which meant no 1 hour of waiting time! Yayaya, we were super delighted. I ordered the usual, and the younger sister did too but had the unagi bento instead. Really generous servings of yummilicious unagi. Yum, i'm not a fan of unagi but had a few mouthfuls here and there. It was really..... good. We had really generous servings of sashimi this time round too. :D Younger sister reportedly swears by this place now, and will bring me there again when she gets her first paycheck from attachment. :Haha.

After dinner, she wanted to shop around for more clothes and we ended up roaming around far east, looking at all the newly opened expensive boutiques with really chic and lovely interiors to boot! They make me go weak in my knees, the victorian layout, the clean designs... Anyway, we left Far East empty handed. She didn't manage to get anything at all. We proceeded to zara with more hope and fervour and ended up going home with a big bag filled with zara purchases. HAHA. :D I even managed to get myself an item! But the sister went home emerging winner of the day with 5 different dresses/tops. Very satisfying meal + shopping on friday. Hehe.

Okay...

I've been rolling round my bed the entire day.
Time to get my ass down to work :(
Seeraiously. No kidding ok.

And you guys are lucky, this time round i'm too lazy to load photos.
Maybe soon, with all the yummy photos adorning my blog. :D hehe.
