as much as i sit and complain about this place, it was nights like that one that made me realize what i have here. i've invested time in people that i can't imagine my life without. i've made memories in times where my heart hurt so bad, i didn't know what else i could do to feel better but to laugh. i've made mistakes. i've made some bad choices, but all in all, i've learned that that's what life is all about. it's about moving forward when life tries to hold you back. it's about standing back up [ again ] when someone else knocks you down. it's about change. it's about caring for those people no matter how many times they've ended up hurting you. it's about realizing that you really can see past all of the bad, and find some good in this world. it's about me, finally understanding that i can't do this on my own.
and that, is something to be proud of.
