Review: American Psycho

Jun 25, 2009 03:02

Unforgettable movie.

This film's hook is definitely its darkly comedic aspect from the very start of the opening credits. Intertwining cunning eighties music trivia with geometric and eye-popping shots surely give edge to the thrill of witnessing Christian Bale's character undergo a psychological rollercoaster between perfection and mediocrity. With the help of the film's sharp wit, twisted humor and numerous shedding of Bale's physique, one simply can't focus on a solitary detail of the plot for it calls for alertness in anticipating what is to come. Simply, "American Psycho" is a sensory, as well as a psychological, overload.

I must say this: Christian Bale running around the hotel room all naked and bloody was quite sexy. It reminded me nothing of Borat. Swear.
