my west desert journey was fufilling.
the highlights:
i saw the beatles cirque du soleil love show. it was absoultely incredible. no words can describe it. i cried because i was so overwhelmed with joy while they were playing 'all you need is love'. luckily a drunken sharp dressed man came up and gave me a hug and told me that it was alright...he had seen the show five times and had cried at every one of them.
we had my official birthday dinner at a place called samba. all 4 of us ordered the all you can eat at this brazalian delight. they had 9 different dishes and the waiters would come around with the sirloin/filet/chicken/turkey wrapped in bacon/ grilled pineapple plus many other delights on a large skewer and would shave it onto your plate for you. it was so good! i was so awkwardly full!
the canyon was grand. seeing both sunset and sunrise at such a monumental place was snazzy.
the tattoo didn't hurt as bad as thought it was going too. kind of like the sensation when cleaning your teeth with that buzzy thing...but on your skin. yea...sorry about the lack of detailed description. i am very very very happy with it though...and tony the big gentle giant that needled my shoulder really liked my design. so that was refreshing :]
anways. i'm glad to be home. and to celebrate alexs birthday will be fun saturday!
tomorrow my godmother who i haven't seen in 5 years is going to be in town for like an hour. she is/ was really cool...so i'm excited to have brunch with her. hopefully it won't be all college talk and yet more of the wonderful phrase 'yea...i'm really excited!'
