the air conditioning system in our house makes a lot of noise; sometimes it sounds like footsteps or something falling. i'm tired, up late, sick of writing this stupid paper, and the ac is starting to freak me out a little bit.

i keep thinking that my mother is about to pop out from around the corner (also making me a bit uneasy) but she has yet to do that.
