Month long update

FUCKING GO STEELERS!!!!!!  woot superbowl champs!  Did you see that fucking interception?  Really, did you see it?  I still don't believe it.

Moving on.  It seems like if I keep tabs on what I'm doing from month to month, it'll be easier to keep resolutions.  Already 1/12th of the way to 2010!  Just to bring myself and everyone else up to speed, I made five resolutions.  They are as follows:

1) Learn French good-er
2) Dress better
3) Make juggling my full time career
4) Get good at Guitar Hero
5) Keep working out

The easiest one to keep track of is working out.  Let's discuss.  I am was a weak vegetarian with small muscles and an inflexible body.  Now, I'm a slightly stronger, slightly more flexible version of the old me.  I'm working out four times a week, back and biceps day one, chest and triceps day two, abs and shoulders day three and legs day four.  Each workout starts and ends with a 20 minute run, for the cardio.  I'm stretching everyday, doing some yoga ones.  I'm noticing a little difference already.  For bicep curls and row exercises, I already upped 5-10 lbs. and am continuing to do so for almost every other exercise.  Also, I can touch my toes now!  Oh!  I'm also getting better at handstands, which is another thing I do at the end of my workout.  Held a 10 second one yesterday, and a few good 5-8 second ones.  That's fun now.  Last thing to comment on, I'm drinking protien shakes because I don't get enough because I don't eat meat.  They're yummy when you mix in a big spoon of peanut butter and nutella!

Guitar Hero a.k.a. Jared's house!  Working on expert drums, which might actually help me coordinate my hand rhythms better, as well as learn to use my foot in a different way then I'm using my hands.  That might actually yield some good results.  I'm slaying some mad solos and riffs on guitar too.  Not as impressive as anything else on my list, but it's fun at least.

Dress better!  I took my gay co-worker Scott to shop with me, and he helped me pick out some good stuff.  I have my juggling/casual/not-seen-in-public-much attire, and my meet people and socialize clothes.  It's good stuff.  Also, I bought my own piece of clothing, without his advice, and that turned out great!  I love my new hoodie, it was discount, and I found another place to shop for good clothes, which are really the only kind I need to buy.  Not much else on that front.

Juggling!  I'm getting better at some stuff, like five club five ups.  I looked way back in my journal just the other day, and I can't believe where I was only three years ago.  I was excited about shit like doing 8 backcrosses with three clubs.  Now I'm doing 360s into and out of backcrosses.  That doesn't help my career much, though.  Wes left for Sweden the other day, so that clears up some time with Jeff to work on the show.  We need to be ready by April, which puts a little pressure on him, but I need more pressure.  We gotta get our act together (literally) and start booking nice paying gigs for the spring/summer/early fall time.  We've got a lot of great ideas, now is the hard part.  I did, though, get a solo act booked for a juggling festival in Oregon!  I'm going out there for a week and performing once.  Hope I can negotiate some moo-lah out of the deal, to cover travel costs.  I also get to see Melissa and show off my stretches and handstands!

Learn French!  I talk to my Frenchie friends on the Facebook (Visage livre!) and I try to name everything I see in French.  I also downloaded Rosetta Stone, but I can't get it to work right.  That'd be helpful.  Get on that.

All in all, seeing what I'm doing for the better is making me feel a lot more confident in myself.  Maybe I'm not such a little shit, like I thought I was.  I'm meeting new people, and always keeping busy.  It's a lot of fun.  2009 is looking good.  I'm gonna go get cleaned up now.  Peace out, multi-gendered scouts!
