Yeah, well, after waiting at the library I find out that I didn't get the library assistant job, apparently there have been another round of bush related budjet cuts and the position has been terminated for the summer semesters. (although it reopens in the fall.) So, I took the Oh!Shit! job I had lined up ( Read more... )

:( *hugs*

Couldn't you get a retail job or something? The long hair and fingernails might not exactly go over too well at Hallmark, but . . . what about Hot Topic? (Am I thinking of the store I think I'm thinking of?)

What about data entry?

I'm with Nysse on this one. There are a great deal of abundant, low skill jobs that are much cleaner than fast food. If you want some help finding one, I know a few places I could refer you to.

And businesses are pretty accepting of long hair nowadays. I should know! :) However, they'll likely make you cut the finger nails.

The nails are cut, actually....

Any places you have in mind, I'd love to hear. I'm willing to try anything at this point, I'm simply hoping to, ya know, eat.

Fast food is what I know I have, and I'm going to need a paycheck or two just to make ends meet while I look for somethin' else. I've figured it up, and i'm going to need at a minimum $600 per month this summer, and that's going to spike to $750 in the fall.

600/4=150, so if I make $150 a week, that will be enough, leaving me with at minimum wage 30 hours per week, although hopefully I'd be maiking about $7.00 per hour in which case 22 hours would be enough.

In the fall, I'm going to try and get my did to suppport me for the school year, and he'd probably be willing to shell out 500 or 600, so I'm going to need 150 or 250 per month, and so 10 or 12 hours in the school year would be more than enough.

I'll send you an email with my suggestions, rather than posts a small book here.

Hot Topic is HARD to get into, btw, as much as i'd enjoy working there.
