I won't say I was a victim of poor education, however, I will say that the traditional "shut-up and do our busy work" system of education is what now hinders me from advancing in our "society."

On the one hand, I do see the importance of practical application (afterall, that's ultimately the goal of education), but I never did any homework in high school, ever. I think I turned in two yearly writing assignments, and that was it. If we're going simply on level-of-knowledge-learned (i.e. testing) I should have nothing but As, my entire scholastic career. Because, I can take a class, listen to lectures, never do any work, come in and take a test on the subject and score very well, exceptionally, even. While others have to learn through repetition and habituation. Unfortunately, people like me cannot stand the tedium of just doing homework, so we don't go very far in high school, which affects our outcome in college.

To me, it seems very manufactured and impure, our education system, it's designed to cater to those who either A) conform or B) are already in the upper social strata.
