Ra Rama, Prasanna's "all new" tone

Surprise is not just the word when I found Prasanna's "Ra Rama" CD in Music World. Like with some of prasanna old CDs, I was expecting that the circulation would only happen in Madras (and maybe like some of his older CDs, I thought I might even have to go to the extent of contacting his parents to get a CD (No, I'm not joking. I agree with gerani1248. I have learnt a lot of stuff about the raagas from your posts.

One hardly finds Prasanna in the stores
Hope I get lucky too, the last two stores I looked in didnt have his CDs

regarding finding Prasanna cds in stores -
Found one - Shakthi the Omnipotent in 2001, and remember its cassette lying in Music world (Pune) till sometime in 2002

The thought did cross my mind, but I am gifting it to a friend. My friend likes carnatic music and clever me thought I could gift this one so that I could borrow it later and burn it :P

oh btw, if you are badly looking for this CD, you could write to Susila Ramaswamy or T.Ramaswamy and ask about how you can get the CD. (yes, they are his parents :) and that _used_ to be a way to obtain his CDs once upon a time.)

Hey, thanks, but I already got it! From Calypso in Jayanagar. And I am listening to it right now.. My friend was sweet enough to lend it to me already :)

Apparently, Calypso is one of the places in Bangalore where you get tonnes of Carnatic Music CDs, right?

True, I felt Calypso was better than both Planet M and Music World of Jayanagar when it comes to carnatic music. Not that I am a regular to music shops in general.
