The things coming out of Whoopi and Sherri's mouths are completely ridiculous. I have a few issues with their arguments on the N word. They're arguing that the N word is okay for them to use because they're black. Sherri's saying that she can use it as a term of endearment but she doesn't want to hear it come out of a white persons mouth, which makes no sense whatsoever. Why do they think they can take a word that was never theirs to begin with and turn it around and make it seem positive? The N word was created to degrade black people and was/is used as a derogatory comment. Why would they want to turn it around and make it positive?
If black people are allowed to use the word but white people can't, what happens when a black person marries a white person? The child is mixed, are they allowed to say it or not?
Elisabeth is trying to get her point across that these two races will never be brought together while people are using the N word, no matter if the person using it is white or black or if they're using it in a "positive" or negative way. The use of the word should not appropriate no matter who's mouth it's coming out of.
I hated that when Elisabeth said "We live in the same world" Whoopi jumped down her throat and said "No we don't". By black people using the N word and having the mentality that they "don't live in the same world", they're only segregating themselves.
I love the ladies on The View, I just hate when they have a heated discussion and the table jumps down Elisabeth's throat because she is the only conservative there. She is younger and since she has all these people up against her, it just makes her and any conservative views appear weak.
