Letter from Alfred to Alfred
Dear Class of 2008,
It has come to my attention that you are the backbone of Alfred and with your graduation, this institution will deteriorate. There was a lot more of you active within the community and campus life and so much less now that you are going. You've each passed your torch to the next generation of leaders but we don't have enough hands to carry them. The responsibilities are numerous and the work force is smaller.
My classmates and I implore you to consider staying another year and helping us lead Alfred to more stable grounds. The Freshmen will outnumber us soon and we are too few to manage and mold them all into proper citizens of the world like you have so generously done for us.
