Things to do...

May 13, 2005 15:46

Its so quiet here...no one is around and the apartment is empty. I pretty much wasted my day off for the "graduation practice". There was NO practice, we just sat in the auditorium and were shown OVERHEADS of where we were supposed to go. What fun. I could have taught them since ive worked a May graduation before...oh bother.

Anyway...I have to get up at the ass-crack of dawn tomorrow and stand around looking scholarly in my wrinkled robe and stupid hat. This is all it comes down to...public humiliation. Thats right folks, not much different than HS.

In other news, I got my grades for the semester, All 3 A's and a B. :-D So im pleased. Although it annoys me that an A- drops your GPA, and i got two of those. So my final GPA is somewhere in the tune of 3.67 and I have no idea what that means for tomorrow. I think ill graduate suma cum laude? or magna...oh well whatever, I am something. So that sums up my College career.

I still have to make my graduation announcements, iron my clothes for tomorrow and clean up our room in the apartment. Hopefully it wont be a chore...

I have realized that I have grown to become quite Cynical toward Eastern and my university education and I get greatly annoyed when people say that I have worked so hard...blah blah blah. I dont feel as though I have worked THAT hard...not that I am a slacker, but I wasnt tied to my studies or chained to my desk everyday for hours. Maybe thats because I procrastinate and that the classes I took were ridiculously boring and meaningless? Maybe that has something to do with it. Ha. Well I decided that I am going to look into master's programs in MD and hopefully get a REAL education somewhere. THis BA is step one...I dont feel prepared enough in my field to really go into a job with confidence. Oh well...whatcha gonna do?

Lets just pray that an opening at Alban comes available and that I will get into their marketing/publication department. That would be AMAZING and a good step in the right direction.

Ok, enough rambling.
