I picked up my cap&gown today...sniff sniff... Actually I was completely dumb and didnt know I was supposed to be picking it up. Well anyway, I got a mug and I'm all set! :-D yay! May is just around the corner...oh my.

In other family related news:

My grandmother is not doing very well and I dont think she will be getting any better. Of course, there is always drama between my dad and his sisters about who is right when it comes to taking care of her. ::rolls eyes:: She's 82, she lives alone, cant see and has no energy. Hmm...one would think the solution would be quite obvious--find a companion that would be with her all day. Someone to make sure she takes her medicine, oversees her general hygene, feeds the dogs and makes sure she eats a hot meal. I really dont think its that complicated. We dont have the resources to have her live with us and my aunts have their own problems. Plus her house has mice...which is really gross. Dad is going up there today to put poison out. They have always had a mice problem, but its getting out of control.

My aunt let her cancel her medical insurance--and then she goes into the hospital and all she has is Medicare. Which, for those uninformed, does not cover all medical expenses. Ugh. Just GRATES me to no end that they would let her do that. Apparently she called them herself. I would like to know how she got the number, because she claims she cant see small print or read. One wonders.

My cousin has to go to pediatric cardiologist next week because they did an EKG and found that his heartbeat is irratic. He was diagnosed with a murmur when he was younger, but they told his parents that he would grow out of it. Well...while being seen for something else, they were concerned about his heartbeat and immediately referred him to a cardiologist. The poor kid is only 7. I hope and pray they can fix it and treat.

My Uncle's triple bybass went well from what I hear.

Yea, when it rains it pours.

OK well I should go do work and focus on the speech I have to give tomorrow...oh gee.

Here we go..50 more days...

Lauren
