They had been sent to another world by order of Xemnas; it was supposed to be a retrieval of a stray Nobody that had managed its way out of the World That Never Was and had landed itself somewhere that neither Heartless nor Nobody had touched and was running a muck with the natives of said world.
Roxas placed his hands behind his head and continued walking forward through the forest, his blue eyes idly glancing around at the scenery. There were plenty of hills and across the ridge he could see a herd of llama eating grass. This would have been perfect if he didn't hear the sounds of someone else walking besides him. Turning his blonde headed hair to face said person, Roxas frowned and glanced at the fire-headed (in both color AND ego) Nobody who was yawning and looking bored.
"Dumbass. I thought that I was supposed to get the Nobody. Why are you following me, anyway?"
In response to the inquiry, Axel let a cheeky grin spread on his face as he raised a gloved hand to scratch the side of his face, "I pulled a few strings and now I get to spend time with my best bud, Baby!" With that, the red-head marched over and pushed Roxas' hands from behind his head to place an arm around the younger boy's shoulders with no regard whatsoever.
His eyes widened as he felt the warm arm over his back and cleared his throat as he glanced up in annoyance, "... I told you not to call me, 'Baby', Axe- OWW!"
"But what's the matter with that? There's no one else around, we don't have to pretend~" Axel's sing song voice started as he pinched the cheeks of Roxas before he continued speaking, "Besides, you've got such a baby face, that I have to call you that!"
Roxas quickly threw his arms up and yanked Axel's gloved hands from his cheeks which were red from the pinching and the blush that had started accumulating there from the cute talk. He rubbed the sore skin and grumbled, "You're an asshole."
To which Axel could only grin in appreciation, "Only for people I like." It was an unspoken rule that the two would only act friendly when no one could see them. Xemnas was someone none of the organization wanted on their bad side and any type of friendship between Nobody's outside of business was an area they didn't want to tread with the leader.
"Hey, Roxas. Do you hear that?" Before Roxas was given a chance to use his hearing to spot what Axel was talking about, the older boy had effectively grabbed the keyblade wielders hand and dragged him through the lush greenery of the jungle until they managed to come the side of the hill where a small sized stream was falling into a pond that was accumulating at the bottom of the landmass.
The blonde looked around at how peaceful the area was and hadn't noticed Axel letting go of his hand until he heard the rustle of clothes coming off, "... eh?" Turning his head, Roxas saw Axel shrugging off the large black coat and gloves and blush spread on his face, "... the hell do you think you're doing?! Put your clothes back on! We still have to find that Nobody!"
Axel froze while he was tugging his glove off, and looked over to Roxas with that predatory grin of his as he tugged the glove off completely with his teeth and tossing off to where the pile of clothes were placed. With that, he stomped over in nothing but pants and boots and smirked down at the young keyblade Nobody.
"Come on, Baby! How often do we get to do anything fun in that stuffy organization of ours? Getting that Nobody is gonna be a piece of cake! So let's just take a nice little break to ourselves." Axel reached down and squished Roxas' cheeks together with one hand as the other began undoing the buttons on the jacket.
"W-wait a second! Stop that! We can-..." Roxas' protests were cut off by a light and playful kiss on the lips that had been pursed outwards by the cheek squishing.
Axel grinned as he managed to win that battle and chucked the jacket off to the ever growing pile of clothes as he let go of Roxas' cheeks, "Now, are you gonna be a good boy and get ready to swim or am I gonna have to undress you myself?" The gaze in Roxas' eyes was one of mixed emotions, 'Undress myself or have Axel do it...?'
But in the end, Roxas gave in and finally undressed himself until he was in plain gray boxers and waited until Axel was in about the same attire.. except without the underwear. "... you have to swim in the nude, don't you?"
"I like my clothes to be dry when I wear them. Besides, anyone who walks by can see how devilshly handsome I am." Axel placed his hands behind his head and flexed his muscles to a sweatdropping Roxas who could only shake his head. A grin spread on his face as he quickly moved behind Axel and pushed him into the cold water without warning with a laugh.
Axel let out a startled yelp as he landed face first in the water and laid there for a second before turning around and sitting up, "HOLY SHIT THIS WATER IS COLD." From behind water doused red hair, Axel saw Roxas bent down holding his waist as he laughed at the sight before him and then reached forward to gank Roxas forward, sending him sailing into the water as well, only a little farther than he had gone and thus successfully dunking him in more water than the shallow end.
Gasping up for air, the blonde hair of Roxas' hand fallen down, making a mess of hair fall in his face as he shivered, "...! This water is cold!" Standing up, the water had managed to get to mid thigh and he glared up at Axel before he kicked water in the other's direction, "Asshole!"
And thus it was the beginning of a splash contest between the two. They strategically changed the ways they threw water on the other, one hand, double handed, and finally Roxas, in a moment of childish glee, jumped forward and tackled Axel to the shallow end of the pond and dunked his head under the water before grinning, "Hah. I win."
Axel gasped for sweet and delicious air before he glanced up to see how close Roxas was to the proximity of his face and cleared his throat in an embarrassing gesture, "... and just what do you think you've won, Baby?"
Roxas leaned down and held Axel's face in the same manner as his face had been held in earlier on in the day, "I've already won you, haven't I?" And he placed a light feather kiss to Axel's lips which led to a splashing of a different kind later on.
And amongst all the going ons, within that heard of llamas that had been mentioned earlier, a small little black heartless ran right through the heard, with a small purple cat chasing after it with a potion bottle in its hand.
