I have my very own Evgenia!
Yesterday, I was looking at my list and thinking and doing what I normally do. I was reminded of how much I like Evgenia.
I thought some more, started wondering if I like the Greek Evgenia or the Russian & Bulgarian Evgeniya or the Russian Yevgeniya best.
I slept on it, went to my grandparents' place to pick up some stuff to bring to school with me.
My Nana has this marble bust of a woman, and I've always thought it was SO pretty, She hangs her necklaces on it, and it just looks so feminine in a room. So, she told me I could have it earlier this summer, and today when I took 'the lady', my Nana told me to give her a Greek name.
Evgenia is the obvious choice!
Except I really need to do some research to learn more about this Eugenia/Evgenia discord and if Evgenia is an inaccurate transcription. If I don't like how that ends up, I'll either find an other Greek name I like, or I'll pretend this bust is Russian and name her Yevgeniya. I do love the sound of the name in Russian.
