Picture of You/Look..at the Sunset/Afterglow
Today's topic: Junsu's Song
So! Why am I talking about Junsu's song? Well besides the fact that I'm pretty pissed and confused about it, I just want to express how I feel about it =)
There is a little topic debate on the song because there is another song that is similar but personally I think that is EXACTLY the same!
Xiah Junsu told the whole world of K-pop that HE MADE UP THE LYRICS. So why in the world does the song made by Australian Idol: Bui Thanh Vu, sound EXACTLY the same?
I'm totally dead serious. When I heard the English Ver. which was totally produced and out way before DBSK's 4th Album, I was so shocked.
When someone posted it up at dbsg saying that there was a song similar to Xiah's song, I had to listen, and I swear, I was so dumbfounded that my only comment was "omg, I was afraid he copied the lyrics" or whatever I wrote, it was something like that.
The only reason I wrote something so simple was because I was too overwhelmed and everyone at the comm was so nice about it: saying "Oh cutie Junsu, can't even understand English well, its impossible for him to copy/translate the lyrics" or "Yea! He thought tmrw = frozen" or "He said he wrote it and the lyrics aren't too similar if you compare it" and so on.
I actually wanted to say something like "Uh, if you DIDN'T NOTICE the LYRICS sound EXACT SAME!" I'm even afraid to go and compare the lyrics cuz I'm afraid of it being too similar.
*Ok, I take it back, I just went to compare it* So after comparing, the lyrics aren't exactly the same but they do use the same words like "more than the air I breathe", "my my my please be mine", "picture of you".
Still! If my 2nd favourite DBSK member really made up the lyrics why did he use the same words? Anyways, when I told my sister about the song, she didn't believe me. I was in denial too when I heard it and finally I let her hear the song and she just like me, totally shocked.
I mean, he shoulda just said it was a remake or paraphrased or something, and it woulda made me feel SO MUCH BETTER.
I mean, I wasn't happy about the song Mirotic already, I really really thought it was original. I mean, its not like its NOT original. But Sarah Connor sings the same song like "I've got youuuuu~ Under my skin" and I don't like it! Even though I do like her verison too XD (I just don't like the fact that there is another song out there with the same beat, words, etc)
*This is totally out of context* but! There is another english song similar to DBSK's Beautiful Life and its by Wayne Brady - Ordinary. But I think, Wayne copied DBSK so I feel better ^^
So yea! When the song was first introduced it was called "Picture of You" then after people said its called "Look..at the Sunset" now finally its called "Afterglow" Seriously! Just STICK WITH ONE NAME!
I mean, the song by Bui Thanh Vu is called "Picture of You" too! sigh, I don't even know what to rant on and on about anymore. But one thing I know is that I feel 10x better after saying this on my journal.
Junsu, I love you to bits but seriously, maybe you shoulda just made up the lyrics without listening to the orginal. I know how hard it is to make up something completely new, but you're wonderful and you have tons of time to figure something out. I don't hate you one bit nor do I feel any resentment against you. I still love you, BUT! next time, lets try to stay away from the orginal's words and stuff, ok? I will wait for your next, NEW lyrics to some other song too okay? I still love the song "Look..at the Sunset" but I was just thrown off for a day =) *muah* Xiah Junsu, I will always be rooting for you! ^^
