Media flock to Berlin Zoo for debut of polar bear cub
BERLIN (AP) - A fuzzy white polar bear cub that has enchanted Germany makes its public debut today.
Television crews and photographers have flocked to the Berlin Zoo for a glimpse of 15-week-old Knut.
Knut was raised by zookeepers after his mother rejected him and his brother after their birth in December. His brother later died. Knut became a cause celebrity when an animal rights activist publicly said the cub would have been better off dead than raised by humans.
Knut already has appeared in his own TV series and video podcast, and famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has taken his picture for an environmental campaign.
The general public will be able to see Knut beginning this weekend.

So these "activist" that are all about animal protection say that it's better if this polar bear be dead than have no chance life at all.....does anyone else see the irony in this? Technically, they were raised by humans...should we have let them die too?
