She never thought it would be like this.
She’d never quite believed in fairy tales but...
She’d always thought it was obvious. You grow up, meet someone, fall in love...
Just not with your best friend.
Just not like this.
And as much as she enjoyed tests, (yes she dared to admit it), she didn’t enjoy being tested like this.
It was too hard. Too painful.
No amount of studying could help her.
No amount of studying could erase the image of them.
All she could do was sit and wait.
And hope.
That one day her luck would change.
