I like to change my mind a lot on what I want to do when I grow up. Today's idea is to become an elementary school art teacher. There is a reoccurring theme in all my 'future job' ideas, and that is art. So I think maybe I really ought to just get a degree in Art

So, in the year 2000 I was 27 and I started college to be a Librarian. (I already had 2 year associate done) Had I stuck with it I would have been 31 when I finished. I didn't and I am now 39!! Time goes too fast. I always think of what would life be had I just finished it. At the time I thought that seemed too old to even deal with it. LOL!! I lasted almost a year before dropping out. *kicks self many times*

Though I must say, at the time I didn't have kids, I knew I wanted to stay home for at least 4 years when I did and I didn't want to stress about paying back student loans if I just wanted to be a mom. I think being a mom is a wonderful career too. Still, I wish I just had a degree. I probably would have had it paid off by now too.

I wish that more attention was paid to the arts in schools. Unfortunately, it's all about math, reading, and test scores. A lot of places cut cultural arts in favor of more math and reading which is ridiculous.
