Magic??
Hi! I drove all the way out to my post op appointment in Manhasset (over an hour’s drive in the rush hour traffic). First, the doctor said, “Hi! Bye!” Then he said he’s supposed to do post op checks, but that I’m fine and everything in my tummy is healing nicely. He said he usually is hesitant in taking out catheters or tying off fistulas ‘cause he sees a lot of the patients back a month later to re-do them, but he said I’m special and no one really knows what’s going on with me. He said it proves how little we really know about biology. He said it reminds him of the definition of magic. He asked if I know the real definition, then he told me that magic is just physics we don’t yet understand. Hmm. So I’m magic or something magical happened to me?! Whatever it is, I’ll take it and hope it continues!
The buns are doing well. We’re slowly keeping them out of the puppy pens (free range) for longer and longer. Merry will still grunt occasionally at Ringo, but there’s been no major aggression, thank goodness. Ringo still kisses Merry whenever he gets a chance! I still have to put eye drops in Merry’s eyes twice a day (and 2 different kinds of drops and an ointment), which she hates. She’s getting better and better at avoiding me when I have the bottles nearby. And, poor girl is still working on growing back the fur around the eye that was shaved for the cataract surgery! They’re picking up each other’s habits, which is really cute! She’s now climbing Andy and me and occasionally licking us and he’s starting to enjoy a good ear rub.
Counting down the minutes ‘til Vegas! After talking with Hare, I’m even more excited to go!
