i learned this really gorgeous song by henry cowell called "aeolian harp" this week. it's played by depressing the keys of the piano silently and then strumming the strings of the piano with your fingertips and your nails. the chord progression is simply beauty-ful.
over break i sold my fretless warwick bass. very sad. but! with the money i purchased a new interface, microphones, cables, mic stands, and another ebow.... so, t'was very worth it. i've been playing with my new toys nonstop. today i was in a very ebow-ing mood so i recorded this very ambient cover of "knife" by grizzly bear which you can download here if you wanna.
