i cannot say i recognize the origin of those words or even have the slightest idea of what they may pertain to...

but i hope you find company tonight, miss. it's best not to let our thoughts engulf us too deeply sometimes, wouldn't you say?

It's a bit too late for that, I think. When you fall into a routine, sometimes your thoughts can get away from you.

Do you want to know what they're from, then?

they can but company helps alleviate it a bit, from what i've experienced at least.

if you would be kind enough to enlighten me, i would love to know

Even when you're in a crowd, though, you can feel alone. Do you ever get that feeling?

It's from a famous play from my world. A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's a story about four lovers, the fairy queen Titania, her husband Oberon, and a band of performing villagers.

... i do. but this is not a crowd, miss. if it isn't too forward... i'd like to do anything i can to keep you from feeling alone.

interesting! i've yet to hear about it. might you be willing to tell me more?

Not really, but I live in a house full of people. It just isn't for you.

It's a long story. It might be a bit too long for me to type it out properly.

[And she's not in a talking mood, sob.]

I wouldn't mind, I guess. I don't even know your name, though.

I wouldn't be surprised! It might replace some of the roles with Pokémon, though.

Can you tell me about your career, then? I ran into a fake Motochika earlier, so I'll warn you that I'm hard to fool.

fake motochika? that's worrisome. could you tell me about him?

but as for myself, i suppose i can say i began in mikawa. from there, i served the devil king oda nobunaga until his passing. for some time i was able to lead the tokugawa under a separate flag until just recently when hideyoshi-sama triumphed over me in a battle and was kind enough to take me in.

at the moment, i'm serving as his general.

is that acceptable?

He was a really large man who wore a lot of purple, but he couldn't remember any of the key events I mentioned to him. I think he's just an otaku.

Most of that sounds familiar to me, so you pass, though. :)
