(no subject)
This past weekend was pretty sweet--my ee mo halmunee (great aunt on my dad's mom's side) came to visit us for the weekend. She's definitely one of my favorite relatives. She's a jazz singer in Korea, where she has her own club: http://jazzjanus.com/ Anyways, we got to just hang out, we cooked her yummy meals, my dad took her to the Jazz Festival in Detroit, i made her my blueberry buckle and strawberry cheesecake, we cooked a big steak dinner one night, and we took her to Ann Arbor and showed her my new apartment, which was sweet :) mostly i just liked chilling with her and talking to her about stuff. good times :)
last night, sidney came over for dinner for the first time in my new place! :) although my rice cooker just kinda stopped working, that didn't deter our eating plans. after eating and chatting and hanging out, we went to A Cappella Rush--hey, remember Rush freshman year and gimble was pretty bad? plus they wore ugly t-shirts? and that's when sharon fell in love with good news? and the all-male groups actually made us swoon???--anyyyyyways. gimble sang Addicted and No Doubling Back and yay. oh and i finally bought the AB CD. hahaha. then i felt old, then i went home and unpacked my clothes (finally) and then worked on my arrangement for the rest of the night.
a noteable detail for today: i'm wearing a vanilla scent, and i never ever wear vanilla, but i'm actually thinking i'm starting to like it. we'll see if it's just a wednesday thing, or a september thing, or a 2005 thing, or it's really something i like. we'll see. *sniffing wrist* hm....mm. mm.
