I love tech!!!! I'm so excited!
Orientation was good. Painfully boring at points, but Kyle and I were each others saviors in that department. We were together for most of it, haha. we met this girl Jackie (who was in my group) who is best friends with one of the girls i'm really close to on my soccer team (mash) and we all hit it off so well! I think we're going to be really close next year.
the guys in my orientation group were very nice too. I got lucky and had a good group. kyle, not so lucky. but, we weren't with them for very long. FASET was very lax in the scheduling department, which was fun for us. We almost met a guy from Blessed Trinity who's incredibly nice. honstly, all teh guys we met were so nice, minus one who hit on kyle but ignored me haha. he was weird tho. but very attractive. oh well. Sure there were some strange boys, but on the whole, there were a lot of cute ones. really!
it was weird at the social and stuff b/c people from tech (the FASET leaders) would ask us where we were from and then be like ohhh after we told them we went to Marist. it was like we were mini celebrities haha! Everyone knew Pete Creighton and Derek Carlson, who were FASET leaders, so it was interesting when we were hanging out with them.
Kyle and i got along really well and we had fun bonding in the incredibly tiny dorm room. we laughed so hard at so many points, and i'm glad we we're rooming together. the only bad thing is that she's so pretty! all the guys like stare at her, but luckily she has a boyfriend, lol.
anyway, i think i will really like it there and that i will fit in well. yay!
