Weird incident
Well this didn't actually happen to me today - it happened to my mum but I figured it was weird enough to write about.
My mum was sitting in the living room this afternoon, reading her Bible on the loveseat underneath the window. Suddenly she hears this car racing down the driveway (for those of you who don't know, we have a long, gravel driveway so you can always hear people coming). This car was coming really fast and I guess she thought it was me (FYI, I don't drive THAT fast down the driveway) but she looked out anyway. She saw this black car parked sideways across our driveway, about 10 feet from the house and this grey car (the one that had come speeding down the driveway) was stopped in front of it. I guess they saw my Mum cause the grey one went speeding back up the driveway right away but the black one took it's time and then waited around at the top of the driveway for a bit. Finally, after about 3 minutes, it left as well. I find this quite odd - I'm guessing that they probably thought that no one was home because the truck and my car was gone and often the Jag is there if we aren't. They probably were going to break in or were casing the place. It is very nerve-wracking and we've gone around and put everything away. We are very casual because we are set so far back from the road and often leave things out or leave cars unlocked. We supposedly learned our lesson in Oct 2004 when our truck got stolen out of our driveway (we put a gate in afterward) but I guess this serves as a reminder that the world is getting eviler and eviler and we need to be careful.
Why do things need to change so drastically and quickly?
Any guesses what these guys were doing?
