wow, on the money!
Wow, it said that I updated my blog exactly 4 weeks ago. I guess I'm keeping up, at least as much as can be, with that New Year's resolution of updating the blog every month! Yay!
So, believe it or not, I'm still at the office. Crazy, I know, its 7pm and here I am, still here. But it's all good. I'm all done with my work and now its just a matter of wrapping up. The reason I'm so swamped is b/c I'm going on vacay next week and well, they're trying to make sure I get slammed before then.
Yes, you heard right!! Finally going to Germany to visit the boy. Super excited!! Can't wait, seriously. It's going to be so much fun. I'm so looking forward to this trip, mainly b/c I need a vacation like you wouldn't even believe. But also, it's amazing how much I miss him. It's disgusting, actually. I've become one of those girls I swore I wouldn't... yes, I've become sappy and a helpless romantic. I'm actually giddy about this guy - giddy? Can you believe it? About a boy? Man, its gross....
But yes, should be a great time. I can't wait. Of course, my parents still don't approve, but I think they'll come around. I mean, at this point, it would be in their benefit to do so, since I think he's a keeper.
Work is trucking along and I'm learning a lot more than I thought. It's amazing how much I've picked up in working here for little under a year. I know now how financial aid apps are processed and where they go. I know about our different interfaces and trading partners - its pretty empowering being able to know that. And I really do enjoy it. Of course, some days are worse than others, but overall, I like what I do.
I'm also in charge of the volunteering sector of our project. So, on top of the work that I do for work, I also encourage volunteering on the project and organize events and fundraisers to raise awareness about different issues. So, its def pretty sweet.
What else? My bro got into med school! Yay! So, he'll be moving back up to Detroit in the fall to enroll. After all we did to get away, he's heading right back. Go figure....
Anyway, I've probably yammered on enough for today. I hope this week goes by fast, but next week goes by really slowly. I wonder if that'll happen... *crosses fingers*
