Anniversary Trip
Nathan and I went to Ohio. We started in Canton and visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It was more interesting than I thought it would be. I saw all the superbowl rings in a row. There was a lot of older uniforms and footballs that were neat too. Nathan LOVED it. Then we headed to the hotel to check it. We hung out there and went to the jacuzzi by the pool. We had a whirlpool in our room too. It was just a bathtub with jets, but enough for 1.5 people, so not both of us. It was so relaxing
The next day we headed out after breakfast to the Akron Zoo. It was really nice. I like the baby animals the best. The Chinese barking deer (baby) followed me around his pen. :) The flamingos were being territorial and pecking each other. I had never seen flamingos behave like that. We spent about 2 hours there. Then we drove to Canal Fulton. It's small historical town - that had everything closed! It was Sunday. I didn't even think about that. We went on a 2.5 hour canoe trip. It was crazy. There were trees down all the way down the river that we had to navigate around and sometime through! At the very beginning I paddled myself backwards into a tree. Soon after we saw a cow and her baby on the bank just hanging out. Then Nathan was trying to be gallant and held a branch back so it wouldn't hit me only he just sort of wound it up so it hit me harder! It left whip mark across my face for the rest of the canoe trip. Luckily it didn't bruise. It hurt so bad. He felt awful about it, but after about 5 minutes, once the sting was gone, I thought it was hilarious.
We went back to the hotel and each took a turn on the whirlpool tub. Relaxed reading our respective Harry Potter books. Woke up the next moring and took off for home. I left out some graphic parts that you can assume existed being it was out anniversary, but you don't need to know the details. :)
