Just a day!
Have you ever had one of those days where the only phone calls you seem to get are unsolicited phone calls?? Today is one of those days for me.
Forrest and I run a small home-based business and we have a phone line JUST FOR THAT. So anyway, I'm sitting here minding my own p's and q's, relaxing and what not... well, then I get this phone call on the business line... and RIGHT AFTER I HAVE JUST GOTTEN FINISHED with "Hello this is Loralee" I get the reply "May I please speak with the lady of the house" and before I can say "this is a business line" the person on the other end just goes into her spiel.. and I'm like "EXCUSE ME! THIS IS A BUSINESS!!!!" Now normally I would not have yelled (well, depending on what it was) but she just ignored me the first time I'm like "this is a business number" all mild mannered and what not... so I'm like "EXCUSE ME!" but that is just one of my pet peeves. People calling and ignoring the heck out of me when I TRY to nicely state that you have just called a business... now yes... I am the lady of the house... and yes I know that these solicitors are doing their jobs... BUT show some courtesy and say "oh I'm sorry" instead of going into your "this is a non-profit organization yada yada yada" while the person at the other end is trying to CALMLY state the fact that you have just called a business number.
Anyway.. just thought I would share... ya know.. little annoyances and all that good stuff! :D Much love to you all! :) TTYL
