Apparently Dell is doing a huge recall of it's batteries for laptops bought between April of 2004 and the present. Why? Because they catch on fire. They short out and start on fire.
The news said that they are replacing batteries for free, and to call 1-866-342-0011
This works great for me because they just told me I would need to buy a new battery... but now it's free! Yay for happy endings!
