This RP--still ongoing--is going to be a fic.
Tis going to be a big project, tis going to be difficult to know where I'm going with it, tis going to be hard to know which posts are important to include in story for plotness. But I am undertaking it at the behest of my beautiful and somewhat insane wife Scarlett, because she wants me to (and because I'm mused for something that won't happen for another ten, fifteen years yet.)
The premise of the RP is as follows: After Dumbledore's funeral, a curse is laid over all of Hogwarts: no one can go outside the grounds without suffering instant death. No one can come in without being trapped. Owls can still come and go, as can other animals. This curse has only been successfully employed once, several centuries ago on a Chinese monastery holding several important generals of the Chinese army. The curse is mroe legend than fact, although now the Ministry has a reason to find ac outnercurse, their best cursebreakers (who aren't in Hogwarts) are trying to find this curse's weakness. Almost everyone who was at Dumbledore's funeral is trapped inside, as well of all the students and staff still inside the castle.
