Jenny closes the front door of her flat and leans tiredly against it. It’s been a long day, involving too much running around and too many of Sarah’s sympathetic smiles. Jenny closes her eyes and lets out a frustrated groan. She’s not sure how much longer she can take the patient hope in Sarah’s big, dark eyes. She’s so beautiful. Witty. And brave. There are a million reasons for jumping into the unknown and asking Sarah out. And only one that’s holding Jenny back. But that one is heavier than a thousand smiles.
Sarah’s not Nick. And never will be.
