“You sure this is what you want?”
“Actually, it’s way too frilly,” Helen frowns at the mirror, eying the wedding dress with vague disgust, ignoring her best friend.
“Stop evading the question,” Jill sighs, but Helen doesn’t seem to be listening. “I’m just worried about you, Hel.”
“I want him,” Helen says sharply, and Jill knows from years of experience there’s no way she could convince her friend.
“I love him, Jill. We’ll be fine,” Helen’s eyes harden with determination, and she doesn’t know that Jill will be the first friend she abandons, too proud to admit she’d been wrong.
