He’s seen her with her eyes shut tight in fierce nightmarish visions. He’s seen her face screwed up, struggling with noise-induced headaches or the urge to rip apart a scientific book for its idiotic theories. He knows her seductive pout and burning eyes that have so often wreaked havoc in men’s lives without pity but he has seen her face frozen ( Read more... )

Oh, poor Becker got it bad. But I can understand his interest. I wouldn't mind to learn more about Helen and see all her faces as well.

Yep, that's why I adore writing her. She's so incredibly interesting, there's so much to explore. More than with any of the other characters... I adore Stephen, for example, but let's face it what makes him truly interesting is his affair with Helen... ooops, shouldn't have said that. *hides from Denialists' anger*

Ooh, very nice. But I bet she's still hiding some of her faces, even from him...

Oh definitely, and even if she didn't, there is so much to explore that it would take him a hell of a long time. :)

Another really good look at Helen -- it's great seeing her from other people's stance and also from inside her own head.

That's what I love about writing an armada of short pieces instead of long fics from one POV. These give me a chance to see the same events from very different angles and understand them better.

Oh I bet he knows that. Not that it helps much but at least he knows he's fucked. lol

Ooo, Becker gets to see a lot of her "multifaced" personality.
And although I am a huge Stephen fan I agree with you: what makes him interesting in the series is his affair with Helen and how it effects his relationship with Nick. But that's why I love Denial, it can be fixed/denied, hee.

The whole Stephen/Nick/Helen triangle is what made me write for the fandom even though I had sworn not to. lol
